About Us

John P. Wendel, Ph.D.

John Wendel has over 17 years experience in ethnographic and qualitative research. He has presented on ethnographic methods at the following conferences:

  • Ethnographic Praxis in Industry Conference - September 2006, Portland, OR
  • Center for Business Intelligence’s 2nd Annual Pharma Leadership Summit on Decision Support and Analysis - November 2005, Princeton, NJ
  • Spring 2004 Pharmaceutical Marketing Research Group Conference - Orlando, FL
John has extensive experience conducting research on a range of conditions and therapy areas for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. Prior to working in the pharmaceutical industry, John was an Assistant Dean at Fordham University in New York and was an administrator at Temple University. He also conducted three years of fieldwork in the Pacific Islands of Micronesia. John earned his B.A. from Fordham University and his Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Rochester.


Chas McCormick RPh., MBA

Mr. McCormick has over 19 years of industry experience. He spent several years working in the retail sector. He has also served as a senior consultant conducting competitive intelligence analysis for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. His analysis focused on providing clients with information that enabled them to make key strategic business decisions on their product portfolios from discovery through life-cycle development. He possesses broad industry knowledge over several key therapeutic areas. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and holds a master’s in Business Administration degree from the University of Delaware.


Anthropologists

Wendel Ethnographic Research has an extensive network of Ph.D.-credentialed anthropologists both nationally and internationally with specializations in medical anthropology, woman’s health and business/consumer issues.
